The making of "The Galley"
The food truck of "The Galley" was created from the fuselage of a real airplane that once flew at an altitude of 25,000 feet above the clouds. Chef Simon came up with the idea after a road trip through the USA in 2013, where he was inspired by the street food hype.
In 2015, Simon and his siblings acquired an aircraft fuselage and began the conversion. In countless hours in the "Hangar" they sawed, welded, sanded and polished until "The Galley" was completed in 2017 – a unique food truck, equipped with everything Simon needs for his culinary creations.
